
Understanding Key Terms of the UAE Tourist Visa
Quick guide to “Date of Issue”, “Valid Until”, and “Visa Duration” — with an example image.

Date of Issue
This is the date your visa was issued. You can enter the UAE starting from this date.
Example: you can enter on 20/08/2023 as shown in the image below.

Valid Until
This is the last day you are allowed to use the visa and enter the UAE (before 11:59 PM). After this date, the visa is expired and cannot be used.
Example: you can enter on 18/10/2023 before end of day.

Visa Duration
The maximum number of days you are allowed to stay inside the UAE. These days start counting from your entry date.
This means you can enter on any day between Date of Issue and Valid Until. Once you enter, the visa duration starts.
