The UAE Jobseeker Visa, officially known as the visit visa to explore job opportunities, allows eligible applicants to visit Dubai or another UAE emirate to look for employment opportunities without a local sponsor or host. It is a visit visa, not a work permit.

Who is eligible for a Dubai jobseeker visa?

• Applicants must qualify as skilled workers in professional levels 1, 2 or 3 under the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation classification, or have graduated from one of the officially recognized top 500 universities within the preceding two years.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is the minimum academic qualification, and the prescribed financial guarantee must be satisfied.
• Final eligibility and visa issuance are determined by the relevant UAE immigration authority.

Documents required

• Passport: Valid for at least 6 months.
• Personal photo: Recent colour photograph with a white background.
• University qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; attestation may be requested.
• Additional supporting documents: Evidence of professional classification or graduation date, accommodation, financial capacity or health insurance, as requested by the competent authority.

Processing time, entry validity and length of stay

• UTM processing estimate: Generally around 4–7 days as a service estimate. This depends on complete documents and immigration processing and is not a guaranteed issuance time.
• Entry validity after issuance: ICP guidance for job-exploration permits says the applicant must generally enter within 60 days from the issuance date, unless their issued permit states otherwise.
• Permitted stay in the UAE: Determined by the selected visa, including 90 or 120 days for the UTM options described here, subject to the conditions of the entry permit.
• Extension: May be possible with immigration approval and applicable fees; approval is not automatic.
